Five Lines has the unique ability to place markers in the score to indicate staves, bars, and musical symbols like repeats.
This unlocks features that would otherwise not be possible with a static PDF oder image file.
- Markers allow Five Lines to know where each staff and bar is located in the score. This enables features like automatic scrolling and following the playback with a cursor.
- Markers also allow Five Lines to identify musical symbols like repeats, codas, and segnos. This enables Five Lines to even follow complex scores with repeats and jumps.
- Also manual navigation in the score is enhanced by markers, allowing you to jump to specific sections easily and step through the score in a more fine grained way.
See the following video for a complete example.
In the next steps we will show you how to get started with the markup features in Five Lines.
